Every conference dies at half past one. Mine don’t.
The energy in a room is a curve, and I have watched it for twenty years. It peaks in the first ten minutes, sags through the third speaker, and collapses after lunch. Most organisers book a coffee break and hope.

What does a conference host actually do?
I open and close the day, introduce every speaker, link the sessions so the agenda reads as one story, and keep the room’s energy up through the long stretches, especially after lunch. I work from your agenda with your production team on tone and timings, and I run the Q&A so it stays sharp and on time. The difference with me is that I can turn the whole room into a game show whenever the day needs it.
How is a game show different from a normal icebreaker?
A normal icebreaker is a chat with the person next to you. My game shows run on my own software: every delegate joins on their phone by scanning a QR code, nothing to download, and the whole room plays at once against the big screen. Table against table, department against department, live scores. It works for fifty people and it works for five hundred.
Do you moderate panels and audience Q&A?
Yes. I research the panellists, prepare specific questions, keep to time and follow up so the audience gets real answers. Audience questions come in through RoomReader, my own Q&A platform: guests ask from their phones and back the questions they most want answered, and nothing reaches the screen until I have approved it. It is included in every conference I host.
Do you host hybrid and virtual conferences?
Yes. I host in-room, hybrid and fully virtual conferences. Twenty years of television presenting means I am comfortable talking to a lens and an earpiece at the same time as reading a live room, and the games and Q&A work for remote delegates too.
