Kill the DJ, then Love the DJ
Started as a mobile DJ business and grew into a full events company. Built it, ran it, and sold it in the middle of the recession. First lesson in reading a room for a living.

Red-carpet interviews with Will Ferrell, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon, a comedy film on Amazon Prime, and years of talking to a lens with a countdown in my ear. Everything I do on a conference stage was trained there.
Your Wedding Photography, Ziphouse, Comedy Feed
A national photography and videography agency, a property company buying at auction, and a comedy publication. All built, all sold. Ziphouse still trades today under its new owner.
The game show business
Built a business around TV-style game shows for corporate audiences, and sold it just before lockdown. The formats you see on this site are the evolution of that idea, now on my own software.

Why the businesses matter on a stage
Most conference hosts are presenters. They are good at names and links and very good at reading an autocue. Ask them to chair a panel on margin pressure, or to push a CEO who has just answered a different question, and you will see the edge of what they know.
I have run five companies. I have hired, fired, raised money, lost money and sold up. When I moderate, your speakers get an interviewer who understands the business they are describing, and your audience gets answers rather than talking points.

I do not talk about AI on stage as a trend. I talk about it as the thing that rebuilt my business. RoomReader, the games console, the fundraising platform behind my charity auctioneering, the outreach systems that find my clients, the social media I would otherwise never have time for: all built with AI, by me, in the last two years.
