WhyThe case for games
Why a game beats a coffee break
At half past one the coffee has worn off and the third speaker is walking on. That is when a room decides whether it is still listening. A ten-minute round of Higher or Lower, with every table shouting at the screen, resets the whole afternoon.
Games do something a break cannot: they make strangers into a team. Two tables that have just lost to each other on Top Answers will talk in the coffee queue. That is your networking, done.

Game show companies exist, and some are good. But they arrive as a separate act: a set to build, a slot in the agenda that has to be defended, and a handful of teams at podiums while everyone else watches.
When the host is the game show, the games live inside the running order. I can call one when the energy dips, not when the schedule says so. There is no set to build, no second briefing, and every delegate plays, not six volunteers.

How do the games work at a conference?
Every delegate scans a QR code on the big screen and joins on their own phone. No app to download, nothing to install. I run the game from a single host control panel, the board is on your screen, and the whole room plays at once: table against table, or department against department. Switching from one game to the next takes a tap.
How many people can play?
The games are built for fifty to five hundred people in a room, and the quiz engine has been load-tested with 250 people answering at once with no lost answers. For a bigger hall we play by table so the scoring stays fast.
Are the games built for our company?
Yes. I write the rounds around your business, your industry and your in-jokes, with general knowledge where it fits. Send me the agenda and a few names and I will build the show.
Where do the games fit in the day?
Anywhere the energy dips: a warm-up to open, an energiser straight after lunch, a mixer before networking, or a finale to close day one and bridge into the dinner. Most conferences use two or three short rounds, not one long session.
Is this the same as booking a game show company?
No. A game show company arrives as a separate act with a set to build, and a few teams take turns at podiums while everyone else watches. With me the host and the game show are one booking, it sits inside the running order, and every delegate plays.
